Lucas side entry factory reconditioned distributor without vacumn advance to suit modified /flow using a modified camshaft or twin side draft carbs. This distributor is based on the original "Twin Cam" type and is supplied with a side entry cap and uses contact breaker points but can be easily fitted with any of the eletronic ignition kits which are available, we recommend and supply Lumenition a perfect match and a well tried and tested combination.
The ignition system is a part of the engine that so many ignore, or just do not understand, thinking the original distributor is going to cope with the hundreds of pounds they have spent on various engine mods, installing the correct distributor is as important as putting petrol in the tank, as any good engine tuner will tell you, its important that timing & rate of advance through the rev range is right.
